Opioids on the Job: A Multi-part Series on Addressing a Crisis in the American Workforce

Given the enormous health and economic burden, the National Business Group on Health has prioritized work relative to the opioid epidemic in 2018. In doing so, the Business Group will host a multi-part opioid summit, titled: “Opioids on the Job: A Multi-part Series on Addressing a Crisis in the American Workforce.” The summit will take place over the course of 2018 and be held through a series of bi-monthly, 2-hour sessions.

Session III

July 23, 2018 | 2:00 - 4:00 PM ET | Online

The misuse and abuse of prescription opioids is a growing concern for large employers and impacts employee productivity, workplace costs, absenteeism and disability costs, workers compensation claims, and overall medical expenses.  At the same time, behavioral health is an increasing area of focus among employers and companies are making attempts to improve access and reduce the stigma associated with behavioral health treatment, including addiction.  To help employers navigate this issue, the National Business Group on Health will convene experts to bring understanding to key challenges associated with the misuse and abuse of prescription opioids.   Please join us for the 2018 Opioid Summit, Session III: “Opioids on the Job: A Multi-part Series on Addressing a Crisis in the American Workforce” to learn more.
