Improving Employee Engagement

Productivity loss resulting from disengaged employees can be a real problem for companies, particularly in a competitive global economy. This GBGH publication highlights global, regional and country-specific data on engagement, discusses cultural and geographical factors that may lead to high or low engagement and offers practical strategies that human resource professionals can use, or encourage leaders and managers to use, to increase workforce engagement.

Approaching Well-being and Health Promotion Globally

A majority of multinational employers want a global health promotion strategy. The challenge is how to effectively implement it across a culturally and geographically diverse workforce. GBGH has updated two Healthy Workforce Worldwide reports to assist employers with that effort:

Understanding Local Needs

As companies build their well-being efforts around the world, their initiatives should align with local needs. This user-friendly Healthy Workforce Worldwide guide allows global employers to learn more from local colleagues about essential aspects of work and daily life, community-based barriers and facilitators to health and well-being, and opportunities to improve workforce health and productivity at a local level. The guide has separate questionnaires on specific areas of employee health:

In-Person Meeting Opportunity

Workforce Strategy 2017: Engaging for Change, a National Business Group on Health® conference, will include three global content sessions. Learn from fellow GBGH member companies (GE Oil & Gas, GlaxoSmithKline, Levi Strauss & Co.) and others about global initiatives and strategies.
